【課程目標】

1.培養學員全球化的視野與思考力

3.增進英文閱讀與字彙能力

Objectives:

1.Educate students on international developments occurring outside of Taiwan

2.Boost their self confidence in speaking English out loud

3.Enhance their reading comprehension and vocabulary

4.Stimulate their thought process by engaging in group activities, debates and Q&A sessions

【授課內容】

主要以國際全球議題時事為主，新聞雜誌文章以及影像都會使用在課堂上。

Sample Course Format:

1. Several days before each lesson, I will provide students with two to three articles that we will review in the upcoming class. This allows the students to read the articles at their own pace, write down questions and engage in more fruitful class discussions.

2. The first two sessions will focus on reviewing the articles, along with answering students' questions regarding vocabulary and reading comprehension. To stimulate interactions, I will initiate student group discussions and debates relating to the article topics.

3. In the last session, every student will share an interesting international news headline that happened during the week. There will be no restriction on the topics (e.g., politics, technology, business, science, sports, entertainment, etc.). This will encourage the students to read international news on a regular basis; in addition, allow the entire class can learn from one another.

Discussion Topics: The topics will be fluid and relate to international developments happening around the world. Within the promotional video, you will find several topics that we will likely discuss in the course

【授課模式】

1.課前準備:請學員先行預習老師所提供之閱讀資料。

2.上課方式:請學員先行朗讀閱讀資料後，老師會就文章內容有問題的部分討論

3.之後會請1-3位同學上台分享對文章內容的看法，同時也與台下同學進行問答討論。

目的希望藉由課堂之活動，增進學員聽說讀寫之能力
